Chipping Sodbury Touch Team was successfully launched in September 2021. Welcoming nearly 100 different players to date, we have a hugely diverse team ranging from the age of 14+ that is continuously growing.
Players have not only come along from other sections of the club, but we have seen the return of retired players, those totally new to the game and even players from other clubs.
“I thought my rugby days were over but playing Touch has enabled me to be part of the rugby family once more, I love it!.”
We are extremely lucky to have two in-house referees who attend regularly helping us to continuously learn and improve, whilst obviously keeping us all in check!
The team become affiliated to England Touch in April 2022 and are currently playing to the England Touch rules
Friendly matches have been held throughout the year with local teams, we attended our first tournament in Bath in April and we even held our own mini tournament in August (which we hope to expand on next year).
We have future aspirations of joining the local Bristol Touch league, a goal for 2023.
